Since 2018, we have started work on over 25 projects, involving more than 100 partners which are currently valued at £145m.
The Catapult is also at the centre of the UK’s innovation ecosystem, working with clusters of world-leading expertise and capability in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and from North East England to the South West.
The Catapult is currently involved in 26 collaborative R&D projects involving over 100 partners including leading UK universities.
The Catapult is an Industrialisation Centre for the Driving the Electric Revolution Challenge, helping to develop next-generation materials and components for advanced power electronics, machines and drives as part of the UK's commitment to reach Net Zero by 2050.
The Catapult's expertise and pioneering work on telecoms was recognised in Parliament when it was called to give evidence to the Foreign Affairs Committee on the National Security and Investment Bill.
The compound semiconductor cluster, CSconnected, attracted a £25m investment from UK Research and Innovation’s flagship Strength in Places Fund to help develop their capability.
The Catapult and ITRI Taiwan partnership will build long-term research and supplier relationships between the UK and Taiwanese companies and researchers.
The Skills Academy will help to create the skill set for the compound semiconductor technologies of the future.
